District Police Office Kaski has received permission from the court to investigate former Inspector General (DIG) Chabilal Joshi, who was arrested on charges of misappropriation of cooperative savings, under charges of fraud and organized crime.
Joshi was arrested from Shankhamul in Kathmandu on Sunday evening on charges of misappropriating the savings of Suryadarshan Cooperative of Pokhara and was brought to Kaski by ship the same evening. He was arrested after confiscating the necessary supplies and brought to Pokhara for investigation. The police brought him to the court soon after the office opened on Monday.

In this case, the parliamentary committee mentioned that fraud, embezzlement, organized crime and money laundering will be attracted.
The same report passed through the House of Representatives, the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Home Affairs and reached the police headquarters only on Friday. Joshi was arrested on Friday and brought to Kaski on the same day that the Ministry of Home Affairs sent the police to implement the report.
An officer of the Kaski Police said that after getting permission from the court to investigate Joshi in custody, the work of the statement has been duly started . According to that official, the statement will be forwarded in two crimes and in the case that other crimes are attracted during the investigation, an extension of time will be requested from the court.
