Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shashank Koirala has said that youth should be promoted for party leadership. He said that the party should encourage the youth of the Congress to bring them into the leadership. Speaking at the inauguration of VP Koirala in Dhulikhel on Saturday, he also expressed his displeasure that the party did not address the demands of the youth.
He said that because Sher Bahadur Deuba will not be the president of Sadavahar Party, the youth should be brought into it. Mentioning that VP Koirala resigned from the post and handed over the responsibility of party president to Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, leader Koirala said that the present leadership should also learn from it and move forward by handing over responsibility to the new generation.
He said that Congress should stand on its own feet and move forward. 60 percent of people are under 40 years of age. But the leaders never addressed them. Addressed only for all elders. We have never been able to address the youth. Ministers always become old men. The youth never get a chance,' Koirala said before, 'Why don't we encourage the youth anywhere, not just the minister? Tomorrow's politics should be given to them.
leader Koirala said that the Congress should work to end the situation of not being able to get a majority even though it is strong.
