The fourth session of the Federal Parliament ended on Monday midnight. According to the government's recommendation to the President to end the session, the session was ended by reading the letter from the President's Office to end the session in the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

Parliament session started from last Baisakh 28 till August 31. In this session which lasted for 130 days, 5 bills originating from the House of Representatives and 6 bills originating from the National Assembly were passed by both assemblies.

Out of 8 government bills and one non-government bill submitted in the House of Representatives, five bills were passed by both houses. Likewise, six bills pending in the National Assembly have been passed by both houses.

The main work done by the House of Representatives in the fourth session in detail:-

• President Ramchandra Paudel presented the government's policy and program at the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on 1st June 2081. Passed by the majority in the House of Representatives on May 13. 
• A parliamentary committee was formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative savings from the meeting of the House of Representatives on 15th May. 4 points mandate to the committee. The committee submitted its proposal to the House of Representatives on June 31. After forming a parliamentary committee to investigate cooperatives, the main opposition party Congress is ready to end the obstruction of parliament to bring the budget immediately.
• On June 15, the estimated budget for the financial year 2081/82 was presented by then Finance Minister Varshman Pun in both houses of the Federal Parliament.
• Three times in the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister proposed to get a vote of confidence. The then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Two and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli once made the proposal. Dahal's motion to get a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives on June 7 was passed by a majority. Likewise, on June 28, Dahal's proposal to receive a vote of confidence was rejected by the majority. Oli, who became the Prime Minister with the support of the Congress, proposed a vote of confidence on July 6, which was approved by the majority.
• Out of 8 government bills and one non-government bill submitted in this session in the House of Representatives, 5 bills were passed by both houses.
• The long-awaited Disappeared Persons Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Bill, which will bring the peace process to a conclusion, has been passed by both houses and has been certified by the President.
• Appropriation Bill, Economic Bill, National Debt Collection Bill and Customs Tariff Bill passed by both Houses and certified.
