Is artificial intelligence (AI) a challenge or an opportunity for the 'Gen-G' generation now growing up? Will it make them uncomfortable or easy? Praveesha Khadka, who is doing BCS at Softwareica College, feels that if we cannot move forward with technology, it will create more problems than opportunities.

"Discussions and exercises have started about this in Nepal now. "Colleges have also introduced courses related to AI," she says, "There are many IT companies in Nepal. It can create new opportunities for the new generation like us. I have seen a lot of potential here.'

Chat GPT is now widely used in Nepal as well. "The work that took 10 days with Chat GPT has become possible in three days, this is both an advantage and a disadvantage. On the one hand it is making us dependent and on the other hand it also adds to the challenge of employment.'

The new generation is not afraid of AI Udit Kumar Mahato does not agree with Pravisha's argument. He is doing BCS from Sunway College and believes that technology should be dynamic rather than dependent. "Earlier generations used to add and subtract by breaking their fingers, later calcutar came. However, it did not harm us. Calculators have made our work easier, so we have time to think about other things.

He also does not agree that job opportunities will be lost with the increasing use of AI. "It may take away jobs in some areas or in a limited category," he says, "but AI also needs manpower to work." It seems that it increases opportunities rather than taking away jobs.'

The new generation is not afraid of AI Some people have analyzed that with the arrival of AI, there will be upheaval in the job market. In the early days, many people lost their jobs due to AI. It is said that since AI technology like chat GPT is being used rapidly, it has also started affecting the job market of Nepal.

The new generation is not afraid of AI Saugat Bhupalsingh, who is doing BCS from software college, says, "The news came that Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani laid off 40,000 workers because of AI." It cannot be said that such a situation will not occur in Nepal too.' But Udit is not ready to consider this as an employment crisis only. Rather, it is believed to change the way people work, style and pace. He says, 'It was bound to happen at some point. Earlier teachers used to teach on blackboards, there was no power point. Now everything has changed. With time, it became easier for those who changed, difficult for those who did not change.

The new generation is not afraid of AI Change and the upheaval it brings are natural, says Udit. In his opinion, everything brings both good and bad together. It makes it difficult for some and easy for others. He says that technology like AI is an example of this.

Sougat says, 'In our country too, advanced technology like AI is being developed. The opening of companies is increasing. But according to that, new research has not been done. He thinks that the psychology of our society is the main reason behind this. Because people are running after jobs, not after entrepreneurship. When people stop doing outsourced work and do not think that they will develop their own technology and take it to the world, Nepal's technology cannot be considered to have developed,' says Sougat.

The new generation is not afraid of AI Every type of technology is being developed in Nepal, from robotics to AI. Online business has started with e-commerce. Sougat says that such changes have made work easier on the one hand, but on the other hand have also added challenges. They argue that it is important to use technology correctly. If it starts to be misused, it is not an opportunity and a possibility, but a risk of causing problems.

Sougat adds, 'When we got a phone when we were young, we used to make prank calls and tease people. We used to take pictures of friends and attach them to the anime's body. At that time, we thought it was fun, but it was a series of misuse of technology.'' "Parents should understand this risk in time and alert their children," he says.

Udit argues that because the older generation does not have enough information and updates about new technology, parents cannot prevent their children from abusing technology and warn them. He says, "The previous generation doesn't know what their children can do. That's why they can't make people aware? They believe that if the latest technology like

AI can be used correctly, it can raise the overall standard of living. It will make government work easier, faster and more transparent. They say that the government should not delay making appropriate rules and laws for this. He says, "Ethical issues related to AI in Nepal are still not good. It is necessary for the government to make a law for that.'
