5 civil leaders of Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have appealed to India not to interfere in other countries for regional peace.
New Delhi They believe that they can contribute to stable politics and peace in South Asia by not interfering in the internal affairs of the neighborhood.
Bangladesh's Firdaus Azim and Manjoor Hassan, Sri Lanka's Laxman Gunasekara and Nepal's Kanakamani Dakshit and Sushil Pyakurel published an appeal together in all three countries and made the call. Mentioning India's interest in South Asian countries, they have asked to support the democratic aspirations of the people of South Asia and let them build their own future.
'Public outrage directed at India is merely a response to New Delhi's internal interference,' they plead, 'New Delhi appears to fear Chinese involvement in each of our countries, as if there is a possible plan to encircle India .
We emphasize Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka are not and should not be in the sphere of influence of China, India or any other power .'
