Nepali Congress Vice Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that the government should be serious about reducing air accidents and road accidents.

Deputy Chairman Khadka, who visited Kathmandu Medical College on Thursday to understand the health condition of pilot Manisharatna Shakya, who was injured in the solar plane crash, said that it is necessary to increase air and road transport facilities. Khadka also informed that pilot Shakya's health is improving.

'We met pilot Manisharatna Shakya . His health condition was improving. Doctors have said that his treatment will continue. He has said that his health has improved a lot,' Khadka said. Road and air accidents should be taken seriously by all political parties and the government. What additional facilities should be provided at the airport should be very serious to prevent accidents.

On July 9, 18 people lost their lives when a plane flying from Tribhuvan International Airport to Pokhara crashed near the runway. In the same incident, Shakya was rescued and taken to KMC in an injured condition.
