Due to floods and landslides and other reasons, nine road sections across the country have been completely blocked and 159 road sections have been operating unilaterally. According to the statistics released by the road department, nine road sections have been completely opened and 159 road sections are currently being operated one-way in the last 24 hours.
According to the department, the road sections including Dumre-Bensisahar-Chame, Tansen-Reedy-Korla, Pushpalal (Madhyapahari) highway, Baglung, and Doti have been completely blocked.
According to the road department, the work of removing landslides is going on at various places. The department has suggested not to travel at night due to monsoon disasters such as floods and landslides, saying that the journey itself will be unsafe.
The Weather Forecast Division under the Department of Water and Meteorology has announced that in the next 24 hours It has been informed that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and few places in the remaining provinces.
Heavy As there is a possibility of rain, the department has requested to take necessary precautions to avoid the risk or damage of disasters such as Gegran flows, floods, landslides and erosion that may occur in those areas and because of this there is a possibility of partial impact on the daily life of the people including agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, road and air transport in those areas.
