Swarnim Wagle, the vice-chairman of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), has said that the country has not been able to make an economic leap due to the lack of good governance.
In an interaction organized by RSWP Gaindakot Nagar Committee on Sunday, Deputy Chairman Wagle said that the country could not achieve prosperity because the leaders of the old party saw politics as economic gain.
Even though RSVP is in the government, they are not able to work according to people's expectations because they do not have the grip of power. "According to the spirit of the constitution, we are in power as the fourth party, but we do not have a grip on power," he said.
Without good governance, the foundation of economic prosperity will not be established, he said. He said that good governance can be leapfrogged by starting digital services in all government offices. He said that it is his experience that the revenue can be easily increased by reducing the rate of revenue and widening the scope.
