Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang has said that the prosperity of the nation is possible through culture. Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Wednesday on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the Institute of Culture, he mentioned that culture is a powerful means of social transformation.
He said that since Nepal is a nation full of cultural diversity with many castes, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has given priority to the implementation of the state policy for the preservation, enhancement, promotion, documentation and transmission of culture by drawing special attention to building the foundation of prosperity through culture.
He said that it is necessary to pay special attention to the protection of a sensitive subject like culture connected with the existence and identity of Nepal and Nepali people. He said that a special initiative is indispensable for listing the intangible cultural heritage of castes in the world cultural heritage along with documentation.
'As Nepal is a country rich in cultural diversity of many castes, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of the Government of Nepal has emphasized the priority implementation of the state policy for the protection, enhancement, promotion, documentation and generation of culture, with special attention towards building the foundation of prosperity through culture.'
