Rashtriya Prajatantra Party President Rajendra Lingden has said that the arrest of Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohia is an extreme abuse of power.
After the police arrested Sirohia from the office of Kantipur Daily on Tuesday evening, RPP President Lingden has released his response through social media. Lingden says that the state has taken revenge for continuously publishing news with facts and evidence on
cooperative fraud. "There is going to be a judicial decision regarding the charges against Kailash Sirohia, president of Kantipur Publishing House. However, the time and manner in which Sirohia was arrested by the government is completely inappropriate,' President Lingden wrote, 'This type of arrest is an extreme abuse of power as the evidence and facts that Kantipur has been continuously publishing regarding cooperative fraud have to be proven false.'
