Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has also reiterated in Parliament that he has no knowledge about the loans received from various cooperatives in the Gorkha Media Network and that he is not responsible for them. He has also given a challenge to show if any document was signed to prove the loan.

However, an audit report signed by Lamichhane as the then managing director and submitted to the company registrar's office has been found stating that Gorkha Media Network Pvt Ltd has a debt of 227.8 million.

Gorkha Media Network Pvt Ltd, which runs Galaxy Television, has been claiming that it only got sweat shares (sweat value) and that the company's liability does not come to them. However, Lamichhane, who took two crore rupees from Supreme Cooperative in Butwal, showed the same bank statement to the company registrar's office and became the managing director with 15 percent shares. Bank statements and company minutes have already been published by Kantipur. Before that and even after that, checks worth crores were cut from various cooperatives and the funds were transferred to Gorkha media. 

Lamichhane claims that he knows nothing about loans and investments. However, in the audit report signed by Gorkha Media Network Pvt Ltd Chairman GB Rai and Managing Director Lamichhane on November 18, 2078, it is mentioned that the company has taken Rs 2278 lakh 80 thousand 356 under the title of 'short term loan'. Assistant Finance Manager Sanjay Adhikari and Chartered Accountant Special Bibu Acharya of ABS & Associates also signed and submitted the audit report to the company registrar office. 

Next year on June 1, 2079, Lamichhane separated from Gorkha Media. However, till the end of June, the company seems to have taken 462.5 million unsecured loans. The latest report does not have Lamichhane's signature as the audit report will be prepared only after the end of June. However, even when he left, it is confirmed from the paper that the company's debt has reached 460 million. 

Lamichhane, while speaking in Parliament on Sunday, insisted that he was not aware of the loan and that he should not be a partner in the mistakes made by GB. I am a person who works in television. When GB was the president and Ravi was the managing director, it is in the preliminary details that more than 50,000 people's savings from cooperatives in Pokhara, Chitwan, Birgunj, Butwal, Nepalgunj and Kathmandu were embezzled by bringing them to Galaxy Television. Even though the savers of Pokhara filed a complaint by name, Lamichhane was not even questioned by the police, even though the investigation report of Butwal clearly mentioned that Lamichhane took money from the cooperative both personally and institutionally, his name has disappeared from the list of accused. 

Based on this, he himself has been exonerating himself. The police investigating the Supreme Cooperative fraud have mentioned that Lamichhane took the loan "without completing any process". Although it is mentioned in the report that Home Minister Lamichhane illegally took Rs 2 crore from the cooperative, his name has been removed from the list of defendants, instead Roshni Gurung, an employee of the cooperative who was assigned to deposit the money in the account of Gorkha Media Network on his behalf, has been arrested. After Lamichhane became Home Minister, he was acquitted when 28 people were made defendants. 

Similarly, a supplemental study report conducted by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Police and the Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City has pointed out that a loan of 1 crore rupees was taken from Suryadarshan Cooperative in Pokhara in the name of Lamichhane. Lamichhane, while speaking in the Parliament on Sunday, said that "the investigation report of Pokhara metropolis is trying to create sponsored confusion."

Lamichhane has been claiming that he is not responsible for the debt taken by the company. I am neither the director nor the member of the cooperative. Neither the person who took money or loan from the cooperative after making a decision while being the MD of Gorkha Media Network,'' he also said in the House of Representatives on Sunday, 'My name appeared in the public information but my involvement is nowhere. I have no involvement in the process of taking loan from the cooperative. I have no information about this.' 

Lamichhane and his company Gorkha Media Network have been obstructing the parliament by demanding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee, saying that they have illegally embezzled funds from various cooperatives in Gorkha Media Network. Lamichhane is not ready to form a committee to investigate him saying that he is innocent. "Forcing a parliamentary inquiry is unfair, unethical, apolitical, illegal, unjust, excessive, torture," he said in the Parliament meeting on Sunday.

The opposition Congress has demanded an investigation against Lamichhane as per the Cooperative Act, 2074 and the Criminal Code, 2074. On Sunday, Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa expressed the view that action will be taken according to Section 122 of the Cooperative Act.
