Professor C. Raja Mohan said that Kathmandu and New Delhi should learn from Beijing. Indian geopolitical expert and Prof. Raja Mohan mentioned that India and Nepal should not work on the basis of ideology and said that they should learn from Beijing.
While speaking about 'Nepal-India relations: possibilities and ways', he said, 'Look at Beijing, the relations between China and Japan are not good. But China brought Japan's investment to advance its economy and took advantage.'
Rajamohan also gave the example of the nuclear agreement between the Communist Party and the US during the tenure of Manmohan Singh's government in Delhi and the example of the US financial aid project MCC in Nepal. He also mentioned that China has strengthened its relations with Russia when necessary, then strengthened its relations with the US, and now it has strengthened its relations with Russia again. He also made it clear that ideology has caused major problems in bilateral relations.
Professor Raja Mohan said that the small countries of South Asia have to face tripartite competition. He said, "Now there is a competition between America and China, China and India and India and America, and small countries in South Asia are in between." which other countries in this region will have to face.' Addressing after Raja Mohan's presentation at the
program, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha said that the mention of Nepal and India as close neighbors is related to history. He mentioned that there are some issues between the two countries that have been left behind by history and made it clear that the two countries should solve them together. Speaking at the beginning of the
program, Foreign Secretary Seva Lamsal said that the 'Professor Yadunath Khanal lecture series' program has proved to be a milestone of the ministry. She remembered Khanal and said that various aspects of Nepal and the current situation will be discussed in the program.
