Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal laid the foundation stone of the signature bridge to be built on Narayani river. Prime Minister Dahal laid the foundation stone of the bridge during a program organized on the Narayani shore on Monday.
Under the East-West Highway, the bridge will connect Wagmati Province and Gandaki Province . Similarly, in terms of the city, the bridge will connect Bharatpur and Gaindakot . Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghuveer Mahaseth and Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City Renu Dahal were also present at the groundbreaking ceremony.
According to the Bridge Division, a state-of-the-art signature bridge will be built within the next three years. The 420 meter long bridge will have two pillars and the width will be 12 meters. A bicycle lane will also be built on that bridge.
It is estimated that the construction of the bridge will cost a total of 1 billion 68 million rupees. Tundi Construction Pvt Ltd has got the contract for the construction of the bridge . In the new bridge, the tower will be placed in two places and there will be two pillars. Boats can be operated from under this bridge.
The vehicle is currently passing through the bridge built in 2038 on the Narayani river between Narayangadh and Gaindakot. Now the Mahendra highway will also be widened and then the bridge will also be widened, so a new bridge is going to be built.
