Kumudini Koirala, director of Punyaarjan Foundation, said that women are blamed in the society for childlessness. He says that women are shown to be weak due to social thinking and patriarchal thinking.
In the second session of the 'Nirbhik Nari' program organized by Kantipur Publications Limited on Thursday, Director Koirala said that there is pressure on women to give birth to children in the society.
Narrating the experience of giving birth to a child through IVF technology 30 years ago, she said, "Even though I am the daughter and daughter-in-law of an educated family, I was also under pressure to have a child. After not having children for a long time, we used IVF technology." She said that she succeeded in giving birth to a child.
