A question has been raised in the House of Representatives meeting about the appointment of Ravi Lamichhane, the Chairman of RSVP, who was involved in defrauding the public by misappropriating the savings of cooperatives, and making him Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. The question was raised by parties other than the ruling party in Wednesday's meeting.

Parliamentarians of the main opposition Congress and other parties have drawn the attention of the government by citing the example of the controversial minister in the past, saying that the person of the co-operative fraud should not be in the cabinet. The Congress has also warned that it will make this issue a major issue and will not allow the Parliament to function easily unless the Prime Minister answers.

UML and RSWP have raised a question in the parliament saying that the minister who came to the authority to give a statement earlier should resign. Along with the UML, the RSVP participated in the Pushpa Kamal Dahal government on February 21. The Congress, which came out of the government and became the main opposition bench, has questioned Home Minister Lamichhane about cooperative fraud in the last two meetings of the House of Representatives.

Prime Minister Dahal proposed a vote of confidence in the Wednesday meeting of the House of Representatives. A schedule was set to discuss the proposal and present it for decision. But at the beginning of the meeting, the Congress raised questions about cooperative fraud and Home Minister Lamichhane. Congress whip Sushila Thing reminded the questions raised by the then opposition about the controversial ministers and the ruling given by Speaker Devraj Ghimire to the government. 

Prime Minister Dahal's reply about the controversial minister in the meeting on February 24, Thing said, "In the House, what the Prime Minister said in the session about taking action against the controversial minister, we addressed about the controversial minister." Speaker Thing, who spoke on behalf of the Congress on an emergency basis, also demanded the government's response to the issue of former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun's secretariat being linked to gold smuggling. "I beg you not to assume that the House will run smoothly until these issues are resolved," she warned. 

President of the ruling UML, KP Sharma Oli, said that the issues raised by the Congress should be followed according to the new situation. Oli urged the Congress to play a role in strengthening democracy, strengthening the constitution and the federal democratic republic and making effective implementation, and recalled the achievements of Lamichhane after taking over the Ministry of Home Affairs. MP Vishwa Prakash Sharma, who is also the General Minister of Congress, also insisted that those who raised questions should not be kept in the Cabinet. When MPs from the main opposition raised questions about the name of the Home Minister in the co-operative fraud, Swarnim Wagle, MP of RSVP, countered by saying that he also knows the Congress. Wagle revealed from the rostrum that the Congress, which sought ethics when it was the home minister, proposed to Lamichhane to become the prime minister a few days ago. "The morals that are sought when being the Home Minister should be sought when the Prime Minister is offered, or, here is the fear, he has to walk in parts." They have to hold on to Chapp and make him the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister," he added, "Congress knows that I am a person who does not speak without proof. If the Congress says that it has not done (the Prime Minister's offer), there is no question of us going around looking for real and fake Congress.'
