Both the Central Working Committees of Nepal Red Cross Society have made accusations/counter-accusations against each other. On June 25, 2080, Dr. The Red Cross Central Working Committee was formed under the leadership of Netra Prasad Timsina and professor Sudarshan Prasad Nepal after meeting on 1st and 2nd of July 2008.

The working committee led by Professor Nepal has been conducting activities from the central office in Kathmandu, while the Timsina leadership had not been able to enter the central office since it was an ad hoc committee. Although the working committee was formed from the convention, they have been doing parallel activities from outside after not being admitted to the central office.

The working committee led by Professor Nepal has taken over the Red Cross by staging the drama of the election by distributing the shares through political and economic maneuvers. Netraprasad Timsina is accused of leadership. The Timsina side claims that the Nepal-led working committee has misused the resources of the Red Cross, engaged in illegal financial transactions, arbitrarily taken allowances including transportation under the pretext of meetings, and embezzled millions of rupees from the organization in the name of district visits.

'As a result, the Red Cross is failing in governance and transparency and the reputation of the organization has been tarnished,' said the statement issued by the meeting held on Sunday under the chairmanship of President Timsina, 'Therefore, the respected Supreme Court to establish the rule of law and the prevailing laws We strongly request the government of Nepal to implement the order and decision.''We strongly request the government to immediately address the complaints of corruption during the construction of the Red Cross's central warehouse, central blood circulation building and water supply projects for the last 10 years.

The Timsina side claims that even though the previous two ad hoc committees, including themselves, tried to reform against irregularities and corruption within the Red Cross, the interest groups did not allow them to change and even disregarded the orders given by the court for the reform of the Red Cross after 2079 . It is said that according to the organizational structure of the constitution passed during the working committee session, the expansion of municipal level working committee has started in all municipalities and the formation process will be completed in all 753 municipalities by the end of October 2081.  Since

, the meeting of Professor Nepal leadership held on Tuesday has refuted the allegations and claims of the Timsina side . The meeting held at the National Training Center of Red Cross in Banepa from February 27 to 29 has condemned the activity of discrediting the entire Red Cross campaign while they are moving forward with a clear goal.

'While the elected committee of Nepal Red Cross Society is carrying out its responsibilities, we strongly condemn the alleged officials who spread confusion towards the Central Working Committee and the organization with malicious intentions, and we request all concerned to be aware of the gimmick meeting being held in the name of the committee,' continued the Chairman Nepal officials and others. It is said in the statement, 'The current Central Working Committee is aware of the activities carried out according to the rules of the organization, showing commitment to transparency, speed in service delivery and good governance.'

The meeting has also decided to hold a general meeting in the coming 2081 Baisakh for the amendment of the constitution . The statement also mentions that the Red Cross is cooperating in the earthquake response of Doti and Karnali.
