The hospital was vandalized three days ago after the death of a woman from Khotang, Minashree Rai. Although the Lalitpur District Police Range said that Rai died due to excessive bleeding after giving birth, relatives claim that the woman died due to the hospital's negligence.
People including the relatives of the deceased also vandalized the hospital. After that, a discussion was held with the CDO, hospital administration and relatives of the deceased. District Police Range SP Chakraraj Joshi informed that the police fired 24 rounds of tear gas along with lathi charge to control the crowd in the hospital area. The woman died on Kartik 7. A large number of security personnel have been mobilized in the hospital area.
