The water level has increased in the river channels of the valley. After continuous rain since Thursday evening, the water level in Bagmati, Dhobi Khola and other rivers has risen.
In some places including Kupandol, Kapan and Anamnagar, the river has filled up and even the roads have become submerged. Because of that, there is a problem in the traffic operation on the roads of the corridor and in the movement of the common people.
On Friday evening, the Water and Weather Forecasting Division has asked the residents of the river coastal area and those traveling along the riverside road to take necessary precautions as the water level is close to the alert level at the Dhovikhola Kapan hydromeasuring center and is increasing.
This year's monsoon system has spread across the country since Friday. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has issued a special weather bulletin today and said that after 23 days, monsoon has spread across the country .
