Rabindra Kumar Chaudhary, an employee at Nepal Television Itahari Channel who was injured in an accident, has been handed 32,255 rupees received under accident insurance by the Nayan Media Foundation.

At a program organized at the Nepal Television Itahari Channel office on Wednesday, Foundation Chairperson Pawan Adhikari, Director Madhav Subedi, and Insurance Coordinator Devaraj Puri jointly handed over the insurance claim amount to Chaudhary.

Basanta Rupakheti, head of Nepal Television Itahari Channel, said that the insurance amount received after the accident has provided financial relief to the injured employee.

He wholeheartedly praised the initiative of Nayan Media Foundation for operating a free accident insurance program, prioritizing the safety of journalists.

He believes that such campaigns will make journalists working in the media sector more secure, motivated, and confident.

According to Foundation Insurance Coordinator Devaraj Puri, this year free accident insurance has been provided to 314 journalists in Sunsari.
