Team Venue emerged victorious in the 'Hyundai Next Gen Cup' organized by Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal.
Team Venue emerged victorious and Team Kreta Electric emerged runners-up in the U-16 Cup held at Chyasal Ground in Lalitpur in collaboration with AGTEN Academy. 80 players from eight teams participated in the competition. The competition was contested by Team Kreta Electric, Team Venue, Team IONIQ Five, Team Actor, Team Kona, Team Kreta, Team Grand iTen NIOS and Team Palisade.
Hyundai has organized the competition with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of grassroots football in Nepal in line with its global brand vision Next Starts Now, according to the organizers. Anil Gurung, director of AGTEN Academy and former captain of the Nepali national football team, said, "There has never been a shortage of talent in Nepal, there has been a shortage of opportunities. Such competitions not only give young players the opportunity to dream big, but also give them the confidence to fulfill them. I am confident that with such support from Hyundai Nepal, the future of Nepali football will be even stronger."
The organizers also said that the competition provided young players with an opportunity to showcase their abilities, learn, increase their confidence and further strengthen their dedication to the game in a structured competitive environment.
