Ncell's data center operating in Lalitpur has received the world-renowned 'ANSI/TIA-942-C Rated 3 Design and Constructed Facility Certification'.
This internationally recognized Tier 3 certification further highlights the high standards of reliability, security and quality of Ncell Data Center, according to a statement issued by Ncell.
Also known as the Integrated Data Center, the company claims that this data center is the first data center and cloud service in Nepal to be listed by the government.
‘This certification confirms that the design of Ncell Data Center is in accordance with the criteria of Rating 3,’ the statement said, ‘which ensures that the infrastructure is available with high availability, high redundancy and rapid recovery from adversity, which can be repaired in parallel to operate essential and sensitive tasks. Designed for maximum uptime, the data center is able to operate without interruption even during scheduled maintenance or emergencies.’
The assessment and certification was carried out by Data Center Media LLP, an audit and certification organization authorized by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), Ncell said.
‘This certification is a milestone for Ncell as well as for Nepal,’ said Ncell CEO Michael Foley, ‘as it is the first Ncell data center in Nepal to receive this TIA certification for a designed and constructed facility.’

‘This further strengthens good governance, data protection and risk management processes,’ the statement said, adding that Ncell has also received ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation.’
