Pepe Pizza Group has announced a support of Rs 5,111,111 to the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KICH).

The support was provided by the company's director, Kaushal Timsina. The company announced the donation in support of child health services, according to a statement issued by the company.

Timsina said that the company has taken investing in the health sector of children as a social responsibility. "We feel that it is our responsibility to contribute to the health of Nepal's children," he said.

Pepe Pizza Group has been operating 'Food Parks' in major Bhatbhateni super stores across the country. Brands including 'Pepe Pizza', 'Pepe Ice Cream', 'Bombay Bites' and 'Momo from the Himalayas' are operating in these food parks.

The company believes that these food parks, which also include a play area for children, will help create a child-friendly environment.

Kioch has received a commitment of more than Rs 55 million for the purchase of MRI and CT scan equipment.

The hospital will further strengthen the healthcare infrastructure for children across Nepal through the purchase of the state-of-the-art equipment, estimated to cost around Rs 150 million, the statement said.


Earlier, social worker Min Bahadur Gurung has provided more than Rs 710 million for the construction of the hospital's 'West Block Building'.
