The Nepal Tourism Board has been awarded the prestigious 'PATA Long-Term Membership Award' in recognition of its 60 years of association and contribution to the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).

The award was presented on the occasion of the PATA Annual Conference 2026 held in Gyeongju and Pohang, Korea from Monday. The award was received by the Acting Director of the Board, Rohini Prasad Khanal, on behalf of the Nepal Tourism Board.

The award reflects the long-term collaboration with PATA, strengthening regional tourism cooperation, sustainable tourism development and continuous commitment to promoting global tourism, the board said in a statement.

Nepal's private tourism sector was also honored on the occasion. Yeti Travels was honored for its 60 years of partnership and Suman Pandey was honored as a PATA Life Member.

The PATA Annual Conference 2026, which runs until Wednesday, will bring together tourism leaders, policymakers, experts and stakeholders from the Asia-Pacific region to discuss the future of sustainable and resilient tourism.
