Shivam Cements Limited, committed to social responsibility, has decided to provide necessary support for the studies of 12-year-old Sandesh Budhamagar, a resident of Dhangsi, Rolpa Municipality-10, Rolpa District, with the aim of supporting the education of economically weaker and specially abled students.
Shivam Cement is going to support Sandesh, who is physically disabled and cannot use both hands.
Sandesh, who was born with a condition where he cannot use both hands, has been continuing his studies by writing with the help of his feet despite the poor financial condition of his family, the company said in a statement.
Sandesh has passed grade 5 from his current school in Rolpa. However, family sources have said that due to the lack of a disability-friendly school suitable for students with special abilities in Rolpa and the poor financial condition of his family, he has been facing problems in further studies.
The statement states that Shivam Cement has coordinated with Khagendra Navajivan Special Education Secondary School in Jorpati, Kathmandu, to continue Sandesh's studies up to the secondary level. It has collaborated with the Apang Navajivan Center for his care and residential arrangements.
It is said that Shivam Cement will provide the expenses incurred for Sandesh's studies up to the secondary level as support to the center.
