MetLife Nepal has officially launched its services in Jumla.

This is a significant step towards expanding access to financial security and insurance services in one of the most remote and underserved areas of Nepal, the company said in a statement.

The expansion is part of MetLife Nepal’s commitment to providing easy access to insurance services across the country, especially to remote communities, the company said.

“The local agency office, established in view of the specific challenges faced by the residents of Jumla — such as limited infrastructure and distance to financial services — aims to provide personalized customer service, enhance financial literacy, and create employment opportunities at the local level,” the statement said.

To further support the Jumla community, MetLife Nepal, in collaboration with Surya Samajik Sewa Samaj, has handed over smart boards to Chandannath Higher Secondary School and Janata Secondary School.
