The Deepal S05 has secured first place in the pure electric SUV segment of the JD Power 2026 China Quality Test. The S05 has secured the No. 1 position in the JD Power NEV Initial Quality Study.
JD Power is considered the most authoritative standard for testing the quality of EVs available in China's rapidly expanding market, the company said in a statement. The Deepal S05, which has been released about a year ago and has sold about 200,000 units in more than 70 countries, is the most successful EV exported from China, the company claims.
The 4.62-meter-long and 2.88-meter-wide S05 is available in pure battery electric (BEV) and range extended electric (REEV) versions. The company says that JD Power's NEV IQS is one of the most reliable quality tests in the Chinese automotive industry.
The 2026 J.D. Power test was conducted based on feedback from 21,177 vehicle owners across 137 models from 49 brands in 81 cities in China, the company said.
