Buddha Air has completely transformed its ‘Royal Club’ frequent flyer program into a digital and online system and has unveiled a discount package worth around Rs 160 million annually.
This scheme, which will be implemented from 1 Baisakh 2083, will provide various discounts and facilities worth Rs 160 million targeting Royal Club members who regularly fly on Buddha’s aircraft, Executive Chairman Birendra Bahadur Basnet said at a press conference held in Jawalakhel on Monday.
According to Buddha Air, Royal Club members will get special discounts through promo codes, while other passengers will also be able to take advantage of various types of discounts.
Discounts have also been determined according to flight time. The company has stated that passengers will get discounts at different rates on prime time and off-time flights.
Now passengers will be able to collect ‘mileage points’ while flying, which can be used to get discounts on tickets or free flights in the future. The mileage facility, which was previously available only on refundable tickets, has now been implemented on non-refundable tickets as well. Passengers can easily book tickets through Buddha Air's mobile app or website using the accumulated mileage points.
The company has also said that it plans to expand its collaboration with other strategic partners. Royal Club members will also get discounts in supermarkets, hotels, resorts and other service areas.
Buddha Air has been serving about 7,000 passengers daily. The company's annual turnover is said to be around 15 billion rupees. There are about 175,000 members affiliated with the Royal Club.
The company has urged passengers to mention their Royal Club number while booking tickets, which will help them easily get mileage points and discounts.
