Vaseline has launched its new product ‘Gluta-Haya’ in Nepal through the ‘Showstopper Skin’ campaign. The brand under Unilever has launched the product in a different format than the traditional format by organizing a street event.
As part of the program, a pink carpet was suddenly laid out without prior notice in busy public places in the capital. This unexpected presentation caught the attention of the public.
At the program, artists Annapurna Sharma, Kavita Nepali and Malika Mahat walked on the carpet and attracted the attention of the audience. Many watched with curiosity as the sudden sight stopped the normal activities around them.
According to Surbhi Goswami, the company’s head of distribution, the core message of the ‘Showstopper Skin’ campaign is linked to a person’s confidence. ‘Confidence in one’s own skin makes a person the center of attraction,’ she said.
The company has stated that the new product, Gluta-Haya, is a light and fast-absorbing serum-based lotion. It uses Glutaglo technology and hyaluronic acid, which are claimed to make the skin brighter and more moisturized. Amlan Mukherjee, Managing Director of the company, said that the campaign based on direct experience targeting youth will be effective. Gluta-Haya is currently available in 200 milliliter and 70 milliliter packs in the market and through online shopping channels, the company said.
