SPG Automobiles, the authorized dealer of Omoda GEO and Icar, has announced an 11-year warranty on its electric vehicle (EV) models. The company claims that this warranty is the longest EV warranty in Nepal on battery and motor components.
The company was previously offering a warranty of 8 years or 180,000 kilometers for the battery and 8 years or 160,000 kilometers for the drive motor. Under the new extended warranty program, the battery has now been extended to 11 years or 240,000 kilometers and the drive motor assembly to 11 years or 200,000 kilometers (whichever comes first).
This warranty will be available on Omoda E5, GEO J5, GEO J6T and Icar V23 models. Under the extended warranty, customers will get full coverage for technical defects in the traction battery pack and drive motor assembly, the company said.
The extended warranty reflects our unwavering belief in the advanced EV technology of our vehicles and our commitment to providing excellent service to our customers,” said Gaurav Sharda, Director, SPG Automobiles.
“With the growing interest in electric vehicles, we believe this initiative will play a significant role in building long-term trust and loyalty among our customers,” he said.
With over 18 sales outlets and 15 service centers across the country, the company is rapidly expanding.
