Kshitij Thapa and Shila Thakuri from Kathmandu have won the title of 'Mr. Ramapithecus' Men's Bodybuilding and Women's Athletic Physique Competition 2082 held in Butwal.

Thapa performed excellently and won the overall title in the heavyweight category. Along with the title, he received a cash prize of Rs 200,000, a trophy, a medal and a certificate. 70 players participated in the competition under various weight groups.

Sunil Ale came first in the 55 kg category, Sagar BK came second and Arjun Bhatt came third. In the 60 kg category, Suresh Duwal won gold, Rajendra Sunar came second and Dharmaraj Khapung came third.

Namraj Dumre came first in the 65 kg category, Yogesh Gurung came second and Namgel Lama came third. In the 70 kg category, Madhav Subedi took the top spot, while Anish Rasaili came second and Susan Shrestha came third. In the 70 kg+ heavyweight category, Kshitij Thapa came first, Deepjung Roka Magar came second and Suraj Dangol came third.

In the women's athletic physique category, Shila Thakuri won the title. Chunkumari Pun came second and Rabina Kunwar came third. The program was held under the chairmanship of Lumbini Province Physical Fitness and Fitness Association President Situprasad Shrestha and the chief guest of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Khelraj Pandey. Various guests presented prizes and honors to the winners.

Speaking at the program, Mayor Pandey said that the municipality has been increasing investment in line with the goal of developing Butwal as a sports center. Association President Shrestha said that the decades-old goal of organizing a national-level competition in Butwal has been fulfilled and said that such programs will continue in the coming days.

On that occasion, the late Saroj Shrestha, Pratap Kaji Bariya, Shyam Shrestha and Nirmala Maharjan were honored.
