Nepal Medicity Hospital has launched the ‘Advanced Training and Training for Trainers in Retrieval Medicine’ training. The hospital has stated that it is organizing such training for the first time in collaboration with the Emergency Medical Retrieval Service of Scotland.
The training will be conducted from March 23 to 27. The aim is to make the safe transfer and treatment process of seriously ill patients effective. It is said that special exercises will be conducted on rescue and treatment methods using helicopters.
Doctors have said that helicopter services are essential due to the geographical conditions of Nepal. The hospital has stated that thousands of patients have been rescued and treated by helicopters so far. Health workers from various hospitals and institutions are participating in the training.
