Yamaha has launched its first hybrid motorcycle in Nepal.

It has set a new standard in the Nepalese motorcycle industry and also launched a completely new segment in the market, the company said in a statement.

The hybrid motorcycle from the FZ series was unveiled at an event held in Kathmandu.

‘A model known for its performance and road presence since its launch in 2008,’ the company said in a statement, ‘Continuing this strong legacy, Yamaha has introduced an advanced hybrid system combining the proven 149 cc fuel-injected engine with Smart Motor Assist technology.’

The company says this next-generation hybrid system will provide additional capabilities in addition to traditional efficiency.

Compared to a regular motorcycle, it will provide high-speed acceleration through electric assist, a smooth start-stop system, improved fuel consumption and lower emissions.
