Global IME Bank Limited has launched a ‘Non-Resident and Overseas Banking Department’ with the aim of providing dedicated and complete banking services to Nepalis living abroad.

The department was formally inaugurated by the bank’s Chairman and President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal on Thursday amid a special program organized at the bank.

The bank, which has been launched for the first time in Nepal, will integrate its international presence, technology and service mechanism through this department and provide services to its customers around the world with special attention through a single-door system, the bank said in a statement issued by the bank.

The department will provide complete banking services (including opening bank accounts, providing loans, providing transaction banking services, capital market and portfolio management) to Nepalis living abroad, the bank said.
