Global IME Bank Limited has established a 'Non-Resident and Overseas Banking Department' with the aim of providing dedicated and complete banking services to Nepalis living abroad.

The department was formally inaugurated by the bank's Chairman and President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal at a program organized on Thursday.

The department, which was launched for the first time in Nepal, will integrate its international presence, technology and service mechanisms and provide services to its customers around the world through a single-door system with special attention.

This department will provide all banking services to Nepalis living abroad, such as opening bank accounts, providing loans, providing transaction-related services, capital markets and portfolio management.

To provide services to Nepalis living abroad, the bank will provide various services to customers through customer service numbers, emails, foreign representative offices and the department office in Naxal, Kathmandu.

The bank will establish a help desk to facilitate the services of Nepalis living in different countries and operate banking services. The bank will provide 24-hour service to customers through this service desk in the future.

Since its establishment in 2007, Global IME Bank has been continuously prioritizing the services of Nepali immigrants and diaspora around the world.

Surendra Raj Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of the bank, said that the services provided by the department will make it easier for Nepali citizens living abroad to connect with Nepal.

He said that Global IME Bank has entered a new phase of expanding full and long-term banking relations with Nepalis living abroad.

The bank aims to establish itself not only as a leading remittance partner but also as a reliable banking service provider for the Nepali diaspora. The office of the department will be located at the central office of Global IME Bank in Naxal, Kathmandu.
