The National Championship of the Global Math Debate League has concluded in Lalitpur. The national stage organized by the Global Math Debate League was held at The Plaza in Lalitpur.
The league, which started in Jhapa, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Lumbini, Pokhara and Kathmandu, has been expanding its educational journey as a national circuit, according to a statement issued by the league. ‘It has succeeded in creating a special identity as the first platform in Nepal to argue and debate on mathematics in a new way,’ the statement said.
The campaign, led by the educational organization Embark Unmath, claims to have given a different dimension to the traditional style of teaching and understanding mathematics in schools. ‘It is not only important to get the answer quickly or give the correct answer,’ the statement said, ‘students must clearly explain why their answer is correct.’ After the regional stage was completed, the best teams from Jhapa, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Pokhara and Butwal reached the national stage to compete.
