The ‘Cyber Security Symposium 2026 and TechSprint Hackathon’ has been concluded at Nepal Engineering College, Bhaktapur. Engineering students from all over the country participated enthusiastically in this competition. In the TechSprint Hackathon category, the ‘Visionary’ group of Sunway College won the first place and a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The group consisted of Sanket Shrestha, Prashant Adhikari, Priyana Khatri and Smriti Basnet.
The ‘Tarot’ group won the first runner-up prize of Rs 25,000 in the competition. This group, consisting of Ayush Shrestha, Abhishek Shrestha, Bishnu Sharma and Ashwini Sedhai, had developed an AI-based system called ‘Subsidy Guard’. Similarly, the ‘Hack the Throne’ group won the second runner-up prize of Rs 15,000. This team of Miraj Bhattarai, Safal Tamang, Famous Dhungana and Abhishrenta Khatri presented a QR-based digital academic report system. In the
program, the ‘X Hack’ group became the best presenter. The group won the prize of Rs 5,000. This group of Abhishek Panthi, Elin Timilsina, Raman Shrestha and Kiran Poudel had presented the ‘Proofly AI’ project. The winners in this category were Nepal Engineering College, Thapali Campus, Madan Bhandari Memorial College, Texas International, among others.
Similarly, ‘Team Bypass’ won the NCHL Penetration Challenge category and received a prize of Rs 20,000. The team consisted of Nidan Poudel, Rijan Poudel, Awart KC, Saran Rauniyar, Iswarna Kafle, Dinesh Singh Karki and Prashant Giri. College Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari and Chief Guest Shaligram Parajuli distributed the prizes to the winners.
