The 'Cyber Security Symposium and TechSprint Hackathon 2026' organized in Bhaktapur has concluded with the conclusion that the vision of Digital Nepal is not possible without secure digital infrastructure and effective policy arrangements.
The program, organized by the Computer Engineering Students' Society of Nepal Engineering College and co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, focused on the national theme 'Code for Digital Nepal'.
The symposium featured discussions between policymakers, experts, academia, industry and students on topics such as cybersecurity, digital governance, AI policy, data security, fintech security, blockchain, cloud infrastructure and innovation. The organizers informed that the participants practiced software development, threat intelligence, ethical hacking and AI-based cybersecurity solutions.
At the closing ceremony, President of the Students' Society Komal Adhikari pointed out that effective policy arrangements are needed as Nepal moves towards digital transformation. He said that digital governance policy, national cyber security policy, data protection and privacy policy, AI-related laws, fintech security guidelines and cloud security standards will set the foundation for digital Nepal.
