Nepal Telecom has started a testing process where SIM users can update their name and details by scanning a QR code at the customer service center.

Nepal Telecom has started testing an online KYC system for GSM prepaid SIM card users. The telecom has stated that users can update their KYC by receiving a link from a QR code. The test has currently been started from the Telecommunications Office, Sundhara, the statement said.
With this, SIM users can scan the QR code at the customer service center to correct their name or other details and fill in the necessary details. Based on that detail, Nepal Telecom's system will verify and update the customer details. Currently, during the first phase of testing, it is possible to scan from the QR code and in the future, the company has stated that customer details will be able to be filled from the website or app of Nepal Telecom.
Telecom's Chief Commercial Officer Ganga Sagar Matanche and Provincial Directorate Kathmandu, Bagmati Province Director Indal Yadav launched the related testing work. On the occasion, Matanche said that it will play a role in making Nepal Telecom's services customer-friendly. Bagmati Provincial Directorate Yadav, on the other hand, expressed his belief that it will have an impact on the company's productivity as many tasks will be completed in a short time. Office Chief of the Telecommunication Office, Sundhara, Nirmal Chataut said that it will help in digital transformation, paperless work and data updating.
