Nepal Telecom has launched a trial of a system where GSM prepaid SIM card users can update their customer details by receiving a link through a QR code. The first phase of the trial of the service has been launched from the Telecommunications Office, Sundhara.
The trial work was jointly inaugurated by Nepal Telecom's Chief Commercial Officer Ganga Sagar Matanche and Provincial Directorate Kathmandu, Bagmati Province Director Indal Yadav.
Commercial Officer Matanche expressed confidence that the new system will bring ease in customer service and make Nepal Telecom's services more customer-friendly. Provincial Director Yadav said that it will have a positive impact on the company's productivity as more work can be completed in a short time.
Office Chief of the Telecommunication Office, Sundhara, Nirmal Chataut mentioned that the system will help in digital transformation, paperless working and updating customer details.

In the first phase, arrangements have been made to fill in the details only through QR code scanning. After the trial is successful, arrangements will be made to update customer details through Nepal Telecom's website and mobile app as well, the telecom has stated.
This service, which is currently being tested at the office in Sundhara, will be gradually expanded to other offices in the Kathmandu Valley and offices outside the valley in the coming days.
