Lumbini Palace Resort is set to operate a five-star hotel under the Marriott Resort & Spa brand.

Marriott International is set to take over the resort, which has been in operation in Siyari Rural Municipality-5 of Rupandehi since 2075 BS.

For this, a brand license agreement was signed in the presence of Chairman Deepak Pandey, Managing Director Roshan Kumar Neupane, and other directors and high-ranking officials on behalf of the resort, and Chief Operating Officer for Asia-Pacific Neeraj Gobil, Senior Vice President of South Asia Development Kiran Andikot, Vice President of Development South Asia Juhi Roy and other high-ranking officials on behalf of Marriott International.

Lumbini Palace Resort Limited has set a goal of obtaining a five-star resort operation permit by the end of the current fiscal year. The resort, which will be operated with a new concept and facilities in Nepal's tourism industry, claims to be the first and only nature resort in Nepal.

The resort will feature dozens of nature-friendly facilities including state-of-the-art and high-tech nature villas, nature swimming pools, luxury villas, theme-based restaurants, yoga and meditation centers, fitness clubs, nature restaurants, and nature spas, the resort said.

To realize this goal, Anthony McDonald, who has more than 27 years of international experience in the hotel management sector, has been appointed as the head of management as Executive Vice President – ​​Operations and Asset Management, the resort said.

The resort also said that an internationally renowned expert has been appointed as a brand asset management consultant.
