Gorkha Brewery and Carlsberg Group have launched a special campaign on the occasion of the 27th Pokhara Street Festival.

The statement issued by Gorkha Brewery, in collaboration with the Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) and Bhadrakali Waste Management Pvt. Ltd. for the clean environment campaign, states.

‘Cleanliness is essential to preserve the identity of Pokhara, famous for its natural beauty and tourist attractions, and to make the tourist experience pleasant,’ the statement said, ‘Since a significant amount of waste is collected during large public festivals, sustainable waste management is required to keep the city clean and welcoming at all times.’

As part of the initiative, Gorkha Brewery has provided separate dustbins for bottles and cans, reusable waste and dry waste, which have been placed at various locations in the lakeside area. It is claimed that this has encouraged the public to dispose of waste correctly.
