Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Nepal has completed a training program on AI and Big Data. Samsung has announced that a new batch of coding and programming has also been started along with the program, which was conducted from June 27 to December 30.
The program provided students with practical learning, industry-relevant knowledge, and hands-on experience in emerging technologies. Students who completed the training were honored with certificates.
Samsung Innovation Campus, which has been operating since 2023 in line with Samsung's global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision 'Together for Tomorrow Enabling People', has been emphasizing the development of innovators and problem solvers by providing future-ready skills to youth.
The closing ceremony of the program celebrated the achievements of students who graduated from the AI and Big Data programs. In addition, new students of the coding and programming courses that are starting under the SIC curriculum were welcomed. The course will focus on enhancing digital literacy, creativity, problem-solving skills, and employability along with technical training.
Samsung Nepal Managing Director Chang Wook Jung said that youth are seen as the key foundation for Nepal's future innovation. 'Equipped with future-ready skills is not just a matter of education, it is an investment in the country's long-term progress,' he said. He said that the goal is to further strengthen Nepal's digital capabilities through coding and problem-solving along with the graduation of AI and Big Data programs.
Samsung Innovation Campus' curriculum is not limited to technical knowledge alone, but is designed to combine it with the necessary soft skills. It aims to empower students with the collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills required in the real workplace.
A key feature of the program is the practical project component. Under this, students are guided to design projects that are socially relevant and solve real-life challenges. Students will gain hands-on experience using AI, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), and coding and programming. Samsung has stated that basic knowledge in algorithms, data structures, and programming is required to participate in the program. This initiative is expected to provide future-ready skills to the youth and contribute to building an innovation-friendly technology ecosystem in Nepal.
