PRIXA has acquired Dailo Agriculture with the goal of building trust and reliable infrastructure in Nepal's food system.

The move is part of Prixa's long-term plan to find systemic solutions for food safety and transparency in Nepal's agriculture sector, the company said in a statement.

Nepal's food ecosystem lacks a strong infrastructure to win consumer trust. This partnership aims to develop trust as an essential infrastructure rather than just a marketing tool.

"Prixa sees Nepal not just as a market but as an experimental lab, where we are now building systems that should have been built long ago," said Prixa CEO Manish Sharma. "Dailo Krishi is one of the few teams in Nepal that is trying to solve the problem of food safety and trust from its roots."

Dheeraj Chapagain, founder of Dailo Krishi, has extensive experience in technology and agriculture. Under his leadership, Dailo Krishi has been collaborating with various agricultural cooperatives in Nepal to deliver 'traceable' (source of production is revealed) fresh produce to consumers, the company said.

The agreement between Prixa CEO Manish Sharma and Dheeraj Chapagain is claimed to have begun a new chapter in Nepal's agricultural sector to increase food security, identity and consumer confidence.
