Global IME Bank Limited and the Floriculture Association Nepal have signed an agreement to develop a convenient credit system for the use of greenhouse technology in floriculture and ornamental beautification crop production.

The MoU was signed by Ashim Karmacharya, Head of Infrastructure and Project Financing of the bank, and Rajesh Bhakta Shrestha, President of the association.

As per the agreement, the bank will provide special greenhouse loans targeting florists or farmers. The Floriculture Association will inform its members about the bank's agricultural loan scheme.

This will help in increasing the florist production and productivity of florists and farmers, promoting greenhouse technologies, developing quality infrastructure and enhancing services.

It is believed that this collaboration will help motivate florists and farmers to adopt climate adaptation practices, sustainable business and modern technology.

It is believed that the collaboration between the bank and the association will expand financial access targeting florists and entrepreneurs to invest in greenhouse technology, as well as increase the production and productivity of flower production and ornamental plants.

Global IME Bank is the first private sector commercial bank with a branch network in all 77 districts of the country.
