Nepal Investment Mega Bank has provided educational materials including computers to a remote school. Lalu of Mangalasaini Secondary School Khirchauka located in Narharinath Rural Municipality-8 of the district has been provided with 4 computers and educational materials worth 195,000 from the Social Responsibility Fund.
The school is run under the leadership of the community, said Rohan Kumar Bista, the bank manager. He informed that the bank, which has been providing services by opening a branch in Kalikot for 8 years, handed over computers to a school in a remote settlement on Friday.
The bank said that it had previously distributed scholarships to poor and needy children.
Mangalasaini School, established in 2042, became a secondary school in 2068. Principal Pankh Bahadur Bista said that he was happy that the bank had provided computers to the school, which has 385 students.
School Management Committee Chairman Umesh Bista said that teaching and learning would be easier after the school, which is run from private sources, received computers.
