NMB Bank has launched a new payment gateway in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL). The bank has said that it has launched a card-based online payment gateway to make digital transactions simple and secure across the country.
The payment gateway will provide great support to both physical and online e-commerce businesses, the organization said. Through the gateway, businesses will be able to receive payments from customers using Visa/Mastercard cards issued by any bank in Nepal and other countries. The bank said that since the service can accept payments from both Nepal and abroad, it will be of great help to businesses in expanding their businesses.
The payment gateway includes '3D Secure' technology. The bank said that it will require (WoTP) or a password for transaction verification and make the transaction extra secure. In this way, card transactions will be much safer and the risk of unauthorized purchases will be significantly reduced. The bank believes that this commitment to security will ensure that both consumers and businesses can do online business with great confidence.
The bank believes that this collaboration will be important in promoting e-commerce and advancing the digitalization of financial transactions in Nepal. The bank said that this partnership aims to take the country a step forward towards a digital economy by making card payments easier and more secure for everyone. Online merchants who want to offer this secure payment option to their customers can contact NMB Bank to add the gateway to their portal, the bank said.
NMB Bank currently provides services through 202 branches, 184 ATMs and 9 extension counters across the country, the bank said.
