On the occasion of World Children's Day, Golyan Group organized a 'Kids Play-Date' program for children of Gen-G martyred families on Thursday. The program was organized at Oops Nepal Fun Park in Dhumbarahi and was attended by children of martyred families and their parents.
Golyan Group had announced an educational scholarship scheme for children of martyrs' families on October 24. Under the scheme, an agreement has been reached with the parents to cover the educational expenses of 27 children up to grade 12.
Children and parents of martyrs' families in Kathmandu who are part of the educational scholarship scheme participated in the program on Thursday. The children enjoyed playing various entertaining and intellectual games at the fun park of OOPS.
Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of Golyan Group, said that the gathering was organized with the aim of exchanging introductions among the members of the 'new family'. 'Our new family is united by a common commitment and purpose,' he said, 'a family where the rights of every child are respected, valued and protected.' He said that the prosperity of the country is possible only in the welfare and development of children, so their right to freedom, happiness and opportunities should be ensured.
Jyoti Gairhe, Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications of Golyan Group, said that the program was organized to respect and protect the rights of children on the occasion of World Children's Day. All dimensions of their development are connected to the happiness of children, and the path to the prosperity of society also begins with this. She said, ``Today's Kids Playdate is for this.''
Golyan Group had announced that it would provide educational scholarships up to grade 12 for children from Gen-G martyr families. In the first phase, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the parents, and in the second phase, the process of making a tripartite agreement between the school, parents and Golyan Group has begun.
