NIC Asia Bank has requested customers to update their Permanent Account Number (PAN) and email address in their accounts. The bank has requested customers to update their PAN number as the details of tax deductions made from their accounts need to be linked to the Permanent Account Number system as per the Income Tax Act 2058.
You can update your PAN as soon as possible by clicking on the 'PAN Update' option on the bank's portal or mobile banking app 'NIC Asia MoBank' . The bank has stated that customers can apply to update their PAN in their account from any branch office of the bank that suits them.
PAN is essential to record the tax deducted by the bank for the depositor's interest payment in the ETDS record. After the PAN is updated, the tax deduction details are entered in that PAN, and the income tax system automatically matches the tax deduction details in Schedule 10. The bank is confident that it will make it easier for customers to obtain tax deduction certificates and tax payment certificates and will also eliminate the need to go to the bank to get the certificates.
Bank customers can update their email address as soon as possible by tapping on 'My Profile' in their account, the bank's video KYC or the mobile banking app 'NIC Asia MoBank' and selecting 'Change Email'.
