The Chandragiri Cable Car and Resort service was disrupted after the cable car bottom station was completely damaged due to vandalism on Bhadra 24. Since then, Chandragiri Hills has called in high-level technicians from the cable car manufacturer, Austria, to complete the necessary repairs, safety tests and additional inspections and ensure safe and smooth service for passengers.
Chandragiri Hills Chairman Hemraj Dhakal thanked the technical team deployed to bring the service back to a state of resumption for their continuous hard work and excellent work. He also expressed his gratitude for the patience of devotees and tourists. After the service resumed, he welcomed all the tourists and devotees of Bhaleshwor Mahadev who came to enjoy the panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and the peaceful environment.
Before the service was discontinued, around two thousand devotees and tourists were getting service daily through the Chandragiri Cable Car.
