A 400 kilowatt electric vehicle (EV) charging station has come into operation in Pokhara. In partnership with Gadi Charge Pvt Ltd, Clean Energy Pvt Ltd has started charging station in Pokhara Metropolitan City-8 Simalchaur from Saturday.

The station was inaugurated by the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Drinking Water of Gandaki Province Phaninder Devkota. For the first time in Pokhara, the latest technology of the Chinese company Huawei has been used in this charging station. The alternative energy promotion center has provided 50 percent subsidy for the charging station with an investment of 24 million rupees. Indira Sharma Bhandari, the operator, said that there are 5 chargers at the

station and 10 vehicles can be charged at the same time. According to him, 3 dual-gun GB/T dispensers with a capacity of 240 kilowatts can charge 6 vehicles simultaneously. The remaining 2 chargers are dual gun CCS-two chargers. It will be possible to charge 4 vehicles of 80-80 kilowatts.  According to the

time, Bhandari said that the charging fee has been fixed from 10 to 15 rupees per unit including VAT. From 5 am to 5 pm, Rs 14 per unit, from 5 pm to 11 pm Rs 15 and from 11 pm to 5 am Rs 10 per unit. Bhandari told that it has the ability to charge from car to bus within at least 25 minutes to 1 hour.
